Women Power in the Programmatic World
You may think that our Yieldbird team is a strictly male domain. But in this programmatic world, almost half of our Yieldbirders are women – and they rock!
We have already introduced you to our Programmatic Direct Team Leader, and now it’s time for you to meet our New Business Publishers Team Leader – Bogna!
Having been with us for one and a half years, Bogna is very much a success story
Prior to her joining us, Bogna was a journalist who had also completed a stint in a digital start-up. Today she is an expert in providing solutions that help publishers to optimize their revenue. When she began her journey with Yieldbird, Bogna was fascinated by the programmatic world and the needs of the publishing world.
I joined Yieldbird as the BDE (Business Development Executive), tasked with the goal of forging links with publishers who could benefit from our solutions.
I’d studied journalism, so I instinctively understood the goals of online publishers and the challenges they face. At Yieldbird we focus on developing solutions tailored to publishers. In addition, we are part of the publishing world ourselves. In order to optimize our solutions for our publisher partners, I explored with them all issues related to opportunities and capabilities.
Talking to publishers allowed me to understand how dynamically this industry was changing, and how varied their needs could be.
So what made Bogna decide to join Yieldbird?
Well, from the get-go Bogna was impressed by our work culture. Even during the recruitment process, Bogna felt that her queries and ideas had been listened to. In other words, Yieldbird was the right fit.
Here we have a work culture that makes me feel that each employee counts and has an equal say. The process of acquiring publishers is the same in that we are interested in who they are and what they represent.
In Yieldbird you feel that you have the opportunity to develop and that the team represents a knowledge pool of collective excellence. We have a team-based participatory culture: we share knowledge, collaborate together, and most importantly support one another. Our values, work culture and the fact that our approach yields positive results mean that job satisfaction is at sky-high levels.
On a daily basis, Bogna reaches out to publishers who can benefit from our solutions
Bogna looks to deepen relations with publishers who have approached us. PR is part and parcel of Bogna’s job description, and she always looks forward to meeting with publishers at industry and Yieldbird events.
Helping publishers is a process, and we work with them over the course of months and years. By helping them to maximize profits, we are strengthening the foundations of a long-term partnership.
In the role of Team Leader, Bogna will look to support the team and hone expertise. Becoming a Team Leader is always a challenge as you transform from teammate to team leader, but it’s a challenge that Bogna has embraced!
I’ve learned a lot during my time with Yieldbird, and believe that I possess a wider perspective on a host of issues. Beyond the here and now, I’m looking to how we can be even better; and how we can adapt to the ever-changing landscape. Everything is about perspective. We invest in one another, and we look to harness a future for our team and our partners.
What does the future hold for Bogna?
I want to help publishers focus on developing a content strategy, on improving user experience and ameliorating monetization. To this end, we shall endeavor to build always new and better solutions so as to facilitate our publisher partners’ strategic drives.
We want to oversee the development of programmatic and the digital revolution in what has been a traditional industry so that it evolves into something unique. My tenure in this position will be about Yieldbird’s continued development and building on our proven track record.
